Frequently Asked Questions
What is Direct Primary Care?
Direct Primary Care is a new model of healthcare where patients pay a monthly fee to have access to comprehensive medical care from a primary care physician. This model is different from traditional insurance-based healthcare because it eliminates the middleman and reduces the cost of care.

Is Direct Primary Care covered by insurance?
No, Direct Primary Care is not covered by insurance. However, some patients choose to use their health savings accounts (HSAs) to pay for Direct Primary Care services.

What if I need a specialist?
Yes, you can still see specialists if you have Direct Primary Care. However, you may need to pay for those services separately, as they are not included in your monthly fee. Of note, we would like to think that the majority of medical needs are primary care problems with enough time and attention.

Does Direct Primary Care require a long-term commitment??
Direct Primary Care is designed to be a relationship, not a one-time visit. While we list a three-month minimum to reflect that commitment, our goal isn’t to trap anyone — it’s to make sure patients understand this isn’t urgent care or a quick second opinion. We invest in your long-term health, and we ask that members join with that same mindset.Cancel anytime.
